Employment History

FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHER, Richard Nock Photography. 2008-2009

As a self-employed photographer, I was in essence the primary motivator, involved in every aspect of my practice. Good business management skills coupled with excellent time-management are essential. Due to heavy demand I recruited a small number of staff requiring strong personnel management skills.

FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHER, Portfolio Europe. 2008-2009

On a commition basis for my company Richard Nock Photography, I worked with Portfolio Europe taking stock images of Automobiles on car forecourts. Good business management skills, strong time-keeping and excellent inter-personal skills were required at all times.

AREA/STORE MANAGER, Photo Plus Nottingham Limited. 2003-2006

I was responsible for both the general and specific needs of five premises throughout the Nottinghamshire district. Duties included general management, customer care and complaints resolutions and staff management.

Exhibitions

“Lightworks” – Artist – 2008

An independent exhibition organised by the graduating students of South Nottinghamshire Collages HND course, celebrating the unique and diverse talents of the individual students. The exhibition was staged over two venues during June and July, in an attempt to reach a diverse audience.

‘No Constitution’ – Assistant to the Curator – Islington Arts Factory, Islington – 2008
This Exhibition was organised by the M.A cohort in Photography and Publication at U.C.A. Rochester. I was asked to assist the Curators, Robin Dring and Eleanor Pierce, in both the instillation and organisation of the event. Both the Islington Arts Factory, and The Fenton Arts Trust sponsored the exhibition, due to previous links that had been developed with these organisations. The exhibition ran for some four weeks and offered the viewer a consistently evolving multi-media experience.
